Food addiction is certainly one of the most common addictions that we get to work on with clients. While no one wants to think of themselves as an addict, and many of us don’t even like using that word. The reality is that addiction to food can control us, can hold us back and damage our health. Not to mention our self esteem. When we work with clients we like them to have their (addictive) food on hand with them, either holding it or looking at it. This helps with gauging the intensity of the emotions you have around this food in the moment. You could try this at home.
